CD / DVD Duplication EquipmentThese handy accessories for the USDM line of Accutowers allows you to use one of the drives in the duplicator as an external burner. you can choose from either the USB or the combo USB/Firewire connector (combines USDB2.0 + IEEE-1394 interface into one) easily connect the duplicator to your computer (either PC or MAC) and flip the switch to access the supported drive. Q. Why would I need the USB or USB 2.0/IEEE 1394 Combo connector for my DVD/CD Accutower?A. Our USB 2.0/IEEE 1394 Firewire enables the DVD/CD Accutower duplicator to be connected to your computer to control one or more DVD/CD recorder(s) mounted inside the duplicator as an external DVD/CD recording device. All you would need is a computer equipped with USB 2.0/IEEE 1394 Firewire/iLink ports with the correct cable for the connection and the suitable DVD/CD creation software. This allows you to use one of the existing drives in the tower as a mastering drive for creation of your master disc. this solves the problem of having to have a separate burner installed into your PC, Mac or notebook.Q. Can I send the master image or ISO file over to the duplicator with this connection?A. Unfortunately, no. Each Accutower is a standalone duplicator, this connection only allows the use of the recording drive when connected to your computer. Think of it as an easy to use external drive to have when needed, all you do is flip the switch to turn on the USB connection and the drive can be used to record to from the computer. You can only use the drive when the duplicator is not currently copying discs. Physical
